Horses graze in front of the most infamous prisons in Texas. The Polunsky Unit is located just outside of Livingston, Texas and is home to the Texas death row. Texas executes the most inmates per year compared to any other state. While this is where death row sits, prisoners are transferred to the death house in Huntsville for their executions to be carried out.
